FAQs

Q: I requested an item from another library. When will I get the item?
A: We have delivery every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The best thing to do is check your
library account to see if the item is in transit. If it is in Transit, you should get it the next
             available delivery day.

Q: Where can I find the online library catalog?
A: On the Edgewood High School website, click on Library. Scroll down until you see EHS Library Catalog in red. You can click on this and it will take you to the EHS ONLINE CATALOG.

Q: How long do I have when I check out a book?
A: Books are borrowed for two weeks. For videos, depending on what library they come from, it can be a period of 5-7 days.

Q: Do I have to pay a fine for overdue items?
A: Not if the item is overdue, but if the item is lost or damaged, you must pay to replace it.

Q: What is the borrower barcode?
A: The borrower barcode is the number on the back of your library card. If you do not have your card with you, Miss Fischer can look up your account and give it to you.

Q: What is the borrower pin?
A: The borrower pin is the last four digits of your cell phone number. When your account was set up in the system, you provided a cell phone number on the application. This is the number that was used. If your number has changed and you would like to change your pin, see Miss Fischer. If you are not sure what number you used, Miss Fischer can look up your account and give you that information.
Q: Am I able to renew my items so I can have it longer than 2 weeks?
A: Yes...you can stop in library and have Miss Fischer renew it for you. You also can renew from the online library catalog (same online catalog in which you find books). Go to the My Account tab and sign in. Click on Items Out and check the box next to the item you would like to renew and then click on the Renew button.
